Terms of Use
Effective October 24, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Tines Studio app for iPhone and the tines.studio website (together, “Tines Studio”). Tines Studio is provided by Ossium LLC (“we”, “us”). By using Tines Studio you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Tines Studio.
The app
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use Tines Studio on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s rules. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Apple is not responsible for Tines Studio or for supporting it; we are.
Your account
An account is optional. If you create one, you’re responsible for keeping access to your email or Apple ID secure, and for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your songs
Songs you write or add to Tines Studio are yours. We don’t claim ownership of them. If you sign in, you give us permission to store, copy and transmit your songs only as needed to back them up and sync them to your devices.
Only add music you have the right to use. Many popular songs are protected by copyright; keeping an arrangement for your own private practice is generally different from sharing it, and you’re responsible for how you use the songs you add.
Starter songs
The songs that come with Tines Studio are traditional or public-domain melodies, arranged for kalimba. You’re free to play and learn them.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse Tines Studio. That includes trying to access other people’s accounts or data, interfering with or overloading our servers, reverse-engineering the app except where the law allows it, or using Tines Studio for anything unlawful.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop parts of Tines Studio over time. We’ll try to give notice before removing the ability to sync, so you can keep a copy of your songs. Songs saved on your iPhone keep working without our servers.
Disclaimer
Tines Studio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Tines Studio will be error-free or always available, or that synced data will never be lost. Keep a copy of songs that matter to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ossium LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Tines Studio. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tines Studio is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Tines Studio in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Tines Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
